Plumbing Process

Plumbing Process For Your Above Ground Pool

1. Once your above ground pool installation is complete and the installation team has departed, the base of the pool will be filled with water, and the liner will be properly set and prepared for filling. Please note that plumbing is not completed at this stage.

2. We recommend filling your pool using a garden hose rather than a water delivery truck. Gradually filling the pool with hose water allows the liner to stretch and settle evenly, reducing the risk of damage.

3. Continue filling the pool during the day and turn off the water overnight. Continue this process until the water level reaches approximately two inches below the circular jet cutout on the pool wall.

4. Once the water reaches this level, please contact your pool supplier to schedule the plumbing. The time required to fill your pool will vary based on its size and your home’s water pressure, but typically takes several days.

5. Plumbing appointments are scheduled in the order that pools were completed and not based on urgency or preference. Pools installed on Mondays or Tuesdays are generally plumbed by the end of the same week. Pools installed later in the week (Wednesday through Friday) are usually plumbed the following week, although this may vary.

6. Prior to the plumbing appointment, your pool equipment will be placed on the designated equipment pad. If you have a gas heater, a concrete pad (minimum 6 ft x 3 ft) is required to meet code, which the customer is responsible for having poured. For systems without a heater, our installers will prepare a 2 ft x 4 ft pad using patio stones.

7. During the plumbing visit, the technician will connect the skimmer, return jet, and all essential equipment components such as the pump, filter, chlorinator, salt system, and heater (if applicable). Please note: we do not perform gas line or electrical connections. Our service is limited to plumbing the water-side components only.

8. Once plumbing is complete, the technician will test-run the system and provide a full overview of your pool equipment, including operational guidance. At this point, your plumbing setup is considered complete.
